about
My name is Dan Parsons and I write and perform under the name 'This Lonely Soul'.
TLS consists of me, an acoustic guitar and, well, that's it really.
I started writing as TLS in 2000 whilst I was at University in the sublime city of Stoke On Trent.
I am currently based in Brighton but play all over the UK & Europe if given the chance.
So far I have put out 9 self funded releases and played over 50 shows.
I have supported some great artists such as Merz, Dave House, Frank Turner and Jack McManus.
I have played most venues in Brighton, gone on tour and have built up a good little following.
I have had national press and radio play and picked up some great reviews along the way.
I have dreams and ambitions of making music for a living but the reality (at the moment) is that I have to work to earn money to pay the bills.
So I make music and play live because I love doing it.
My songs have been described as unique, avant-garde, intimate and heartfelt.
My hopes for the future are to write a new batch on songs, record my 10th release and do another tour.
I'd like to play some festivals, continue to make new fans and hopefully inspire some people along the way.
